My Bridal Shower

June 20th, 2021

My bridal shower brunch was held on Sunday, June 13th, 2021. The weather was as perfect as could be, warm, sunny and clear and the whole vision came together so beautifully with the decor and food that I couldn’t have dreamed it differently! It was a Pinterest dream come to life.

My maid of honor and mom did the most amazing job of putting it together. My mom was in charge of the culinary half of things while my maid of honor took care of the decor and details.

Since we have the room for it, I wanted to have the party at my house and was excited to show some members of my family who had not been able to come visit and see it yet – since Chris and I had only bought our home the summer before! I kept the guest list small, just family and close friends only as I wanted it to be gorgeous but intimate.

Beforehand, my maid of honor had me create a bridal shower Pinterest page for her so she could pull inspo and plan alongside the event team. Then she hired III Fold Events, a Las Vegas based company, who executed my garden brunch vision flawlessly.

The event team came the day before and morning of the party and set up everything from the place settings to the light fixtures hanging from the pergola. Florals and foliage filled the backyard, with ivy and roses hanging from above, turning the outdoor dining area into a gorgeous garden setting.

Small details like the personalized name tags on each place setting made the event feel thoughtful. Crystal glassware and gold flatware paired with the boho inspired plate chargers created a relaxed but luxurious feeling. The lush florals included a well-thought out assortment of blush, ivory, and peach colored roses peaking out from dark, rich greenery.

The custom “Mrs. Romaine” sign may have been my favorite detail of all! The sign framed by the millennial pink balloon archway created the perfect organic photo op spot where everyone took turns posing for pictures.

There was a mimosa bar with an assortment of fresh juices and dried fruit with champagne chilling in an ice bucket for guests to help themselves. We also had 3 large glass dispensers filled with fruit infused water, iced tea, and Aperol spritz.

My mom took over the kitchen (with the help of my younger sister and my uncle’s girlfriend) and executed a fabulous brunch spread. The smell of fresh Belgian waffles wafted throughout the house. My mom made her famous lemon scones paired with homemade mini apricot butter squares shaped into flowers. Eggs, bacon, almond croissants, tomato goat cheese tarts, and chocolate and vanilla cakes lined the buffet counters.

I had the best day being showered with love, surrounded by my girls, enjoying the afternoon with good food, good drinks, and wedding talk!

I loved the outdoor, garden feel for a super girly bridal shower and brunch was perfect, as it made for a fun Sunday funday vibe on a bright sunny, summer afternoon.

With love,

Ashley Jo
