My engagement ring is my dream come true.

When Christopher and I met, it was like the stars aligned. Love at first sight, when you know you know, all those cheesy sayings that you hear but don’t ever believe unless it happens to you. We knew we wanted to marry each other the first day we met. In fact…Chris asked me the night of our first date what kind of diamond shape I’d like for an engagement ring! Haha I thought he was kidding, but he was absolutely dead serious!

When you start looking for engagement rings, it seems easy.

Maybe you think you know exactly what you want for your ring! I thought so too but quickly, I changed my mind about almost EVERYTHING and it got confusing, fast!

Luckily, we got the perfect recommendation from our friend, Andrew. Andrew’s wife, Sarah, had a beautifully designed engagement ring that out of hundreds I had seen, I really loved. So we asked our friends for some help!

Andrew connected us with his Uncle Andy at Maurice’s Jewelers. From there, Uncle Andy spoke with us constantly on phone calls from Miami. He advised us on everything from the 4 C’s of diamonds, to halo settings, and split shank options.

My ring is…

The main event of my engagement ring is a brilliant cushion cut diamond surrounded by a French set halo of diamonds. The gorgeous white gold Cathedral setting has a diamond covered split shank that slopes seamlessly from either side of the main stone’s shoulders. Under the main stone, at the base of the gallery, the bridge is also covered in diamonds.

With diamonds covering every possible side, it sparkles from every angle which is sooooo me. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I find myself staring at my own ring in public, during conversation, in private, while driving….probably dangerous haha. I will never get over this perfect ring designed just for me.

Do you love your ring? Are you looking for one? Tell me about your ideal ring or ask questions in the comments below!

With love,

Ashley Jo
