Roasted Honey Brussel Sprouts

I always love ordering Brussel sprouts out at restaurants but I don’t really make them at home that often. One day I was craving it, so I decided it was about time made this not-so-newly-cool appetizer for myself.

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb brussel sprouts, halved
  • 1/4 cup EVOO
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan reggiano *optional
  • 1/4 tsp pink Himalayan salt

 

Directions

  1. Place a baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussel sprouts with 1/2 tbsp balsamic, EVOO, and salt. Remove the hot baking sheet from the oven and with tongs, place the Brussel sprouts cut-side down on the baking sheet. You will hear a slight sizzling, which is good, we want crisps edges!
  3. Roast for 20-ish minutes until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove baking sheet from oven and transfer Brussel sprouts to serving dish. Drizzle with honey, top with freshly grated parmesan, serve immediately.
