For our Babymoon we decided the perfect place to stay would be Maui, Hawaii. From encountering sea turtles to indulging in some fabulous dining experiences, our time on this beautiful island was nothing short of magical.

Exploring the Marine Life

One of the most awe-inspiring moments of our trip was encountering sea turtles in their natural habitat. Along the breathtaking beaches of Maui, we were lucky enough to witness these magnificent creatures gliding gracefully through the crystal-clear waters.

Luxurious Stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui

Our choice of accommodation, the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui in Wailea, was top notch. As one of the luxury options in Wailea, this beachfront resort provided us with warm hospitality, stunning room views, a private car service, and a spa. The property also has multiple swimming pools, including a swim-up bar, a basketball hoop for both kids and adults, and a water slide that took us down to the main pool. In my opinion, its best competitor would be the Four Seasons Resort, which we also spent a significant amount of time at for its excellent dining choices like Spago and Ferraro’s. Pro tip: if you’re going to do a brunch buffet, do the one at Four Seasons – for the same price as the Fairmont, Four Seasons has a better layout with more scenic seating.

A Culinary Journey

Maui offered an impressive selection of dining options that satisfied our inner foodies. While we had a list of over a dozen restaurants recommended to us, our best dining experiences were made at Morimoto, Spago, Lineage, and Ferraro’s. Each establishment delighted our taste buds with their unique flavors, fresh ingredients, and innovative culinary creations. From savoring mouthwatering seafood dishes to indulging in divine desserts, we were truly spoiled for choice.

The Enchanting Road to Hana

We couldn’t resist the allure of the famous Road to Hana. Embarking on this scenic drive, we marveled at the lush landscapes, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic ocean views. The road’s winding turns added an element of excitement, making each bend a new discovery. This journey allowed us to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Maui and created cherished memories along the way. Pro tip: leave at the crack of dawn to avoid tourist traffic and drive cautiously!

Morning Bike Rides to the Shops at Wailea

Embracing the island’s laid-back vibe, leisurely bike rides to The Shops at Wailea became the norm for our morning routine. As my husband quickly discovered that The Shops contained Wailea’s one-and-only Starbucks (he’s a sucker for his daily nitro cold brew) we started each day by treating ourselves to a familiar brew while planning our day’s adventures.

Meeting Other Expectant Couples

One delightful surprise during our trip was connecting with other pregnant couples. Sharing our excitement and experiences, we formed new friendships that added an extra layer of joy to our vacation. It was so nice to connect with like-minded individuals and create connections with people whom we have now kept in contact with!

A Relaxing Getaway

Maui, with its tranquil beaches, breathtaking sunsets, and soothing tropical ambiance, provided the perfect setting for a truly relaxing escape. Our time spent at the Fairmont Hotel and exploring the island allowed us to unwind and rejuvenate, the perfect vibe for a baby moon. The stress and worries of everyday life melted away helping us to connect and setting us up to welcome a new chapter of life as parents!
